Jane Slivka's passion takes people on a journey, through the layered acrylic paints and oversized canvases, to a world beyond what a photo could capture. She graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor's degree in Art Education, and now teaches workshops all over the country. Her gallery / studio is located in Historic Downtown Mount Dora, Florida, where she finds inspiration for new bodies of work from her students, her love of the ocean and people, and through the play of light and shadows on old buildings. The inspiration for this piece came one summer afternoon on a drive through the Low Country near Charleston, South Carolina. Available in a giclee (print on canvas) of any proportional size preference. The original painting is 30" x 40", however, if you would like your own original, a similar painting can be recreated to your specifications.
